Basically, a fancy version of a Super Bowl 'vegi' tray with ranch dressing.
I had the oyster Po'boy which was the worst I have ever had in my life.
Some good things, some bad things (the things that matter). We were definitely underdressed because we had expected a similar venue to the old days and my friend felt a bit awkward about it.
!I strongly recommend you stop by Sandbar during a nice day in warm weather.
If you're looking for a Finger Lakes experience, this is not it.Was so excited to go to the Sand Bar like I have for the past 15 years or so and waited patiently for my reservation. We are so glad you love the burger and hope to see you again soon. We preserved the character that made it the legend it is while updating the menu with an extensive beer and wine selection, fresh cocktails created by the masterful Donny Clutterbuck, and simple yet perfect bar staples like crisp golden fries. But when we showed up we were told there were no tables available because all the table were for larger parties.
I got a bloody Mary in a small tall glass for $11 with no garnish at all, not even a celery stalk! Always had good food and good service ❤️Food wasn't too great but atmosphere is fun and wait staff are super!Owner refused shots to our group after we spent about $250 on food and beer. Lucky for us, it started pouring after we paid the bill so we made a run for it!4 Stars for location and a beautiful day overlooking the lake. We went with small plates for dinner and loved that oysters were on the menu! !Hi Kristina! The cool staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place great. The drink prices were outrageous (I guess I was hoping for reasonable prices like the good ole days). Our sever was very slow and not that nice. :). Also, food was fried and soggy. I had been informed that the sun on the was patio was brutal at dinner time and to ask for a south (lake side) table - I did, and was told it would not be a problem.
I don't mean to be a downer and I hope management reads this review and makes some changes. Pass on the sand bar.I was excited to go here after seeing the renovations, but it didn't quite live up to our expectations. Really? The oysters were fried in a heavy corn meal and so overdone, they could have been the sole of my shoe.
I have been very excited for the facility to open and I hope to go again. It's our responsibility, and we aspire to do better every day. We've never eaten here - just had drinks. This is a cool place for a drink and a view of canandaigua lake. Cheers! As a life long area resident, the Sand Bar has been an iconic staple of Canandaigua. Our lunch + dinner menu features fresh local seafood, raw bar, traditional pub grub, hand tossed pizza, kids menu, frozen cocktails + more. We are so glad you love the burger and hope to see you again soon. Break bread and dance the night away together in one of our flexible gathering spaces, from our cozy library to the spacious event barn. Our onsite spa combines the holistic treatments of world-renowned aesthetician Alexandra Soveral with the healing power of the local plants and calming natural surroundings of this very special place.
The salmon was delicious but the salad was something I could have made at home with the spring mix from Wegmans. Thank you for your review and colorful language.
We made reservations for our 47th anniversary and informed them that was why were coming. But when we showed up we were told there were no tables available because all the table were for larger parties. Overall an enjoyable night but a lot of little details that set me off.I was excited for the new sandbar and was a little disappointed.
So if you're looking to have a good time, I wouldn't come here. EVERYTHING can be made gluten free too so that's a plus for people with an allergy or just trying to avoid gluten :).
This is where nostalgia meets new memories, relaxation leaves plenty of room for adventure, and the boundaries between outdoors and in are relaxed.Make lifelong memories at The Lake House.
While I enjoyed the experience, I didn't enjoy the price tag from one drink and a salad for almost $40. The latest renderings of The Lake House on Canandaigua take you inside three areas of the hotel development set to open next summer on the north shore of Canandaigua … Cheers, The Sand BarI was disappointed in my visit. Part of the fun of being in the Finger Lakes is trying the local wine.
Dining Room closed.Making change for good. He was an awesome guy with a big personality so that part was enjoyable. That was surprising and disappointing.
Canandaigua, New York, USA. Typical fried bar type food. Most of the wines are from California. Overall an enjoyable night but a lot of little details that set me off.I was excited for the new sandbar and was a little disappointed.
Sand Bar is a business providing services in the field of Restaurant, . Even the bartenders were looking at me like,"sorry, we know he's old and cranky". You can take your drinks and sit along the lake in their Adirondak chairs and watch the scene out of the water or hang out on their covered patio.
